Why does healthy eating have such a dreadful connotation? Change is one reason. We become creatures of habit, and we look at healthy food as taking the pleasure out of eating. Old habits are difficult to break, but for long-term health it is necessary.

If you try to do it all in a day that is setting yourself up for failure because it is too much too fast, and so try to set easy goals that are attainable. In addition to that, set some long-term goals too. For example you are going to try to have an all-vegetable meal once a week. Nothing drastic, but it is a goal.
One more idea is the amount of fiber intake you have daily. Fiber is a known ingredient that science has been able to show helps prevent heart disease, diabetes, and some cancers.
