Healthcare During Pregnancy

Being a mom is the most wonderful thing in the world. Pregnancy is celebration of womanhood. A woman needs to take extreme care during the nine months of her pregnancy and appropriate health care after her delivery. The mother to be should follow a proper healthcare regime and consult her medical counselor even on slightest of doubts.

Pregnancy is divided into three trimesters, each trimester of around 3 months. The first trimester is marked by morning sickness and nausea. Women may feel tired and extremely fatigued during their first trimester as their body is unable to handle the changes in hormonal levels. It is important that the mom-to-be maintains her fitness level during this period. Eating balanced, nutritious diet is very important during the pregnancy as the baby will grow and will absorb the nutrients from the food that you eat. One should take adequate rest and avoid exertion as much as possible. A woman needs to understand that now she is responsible for her health as well as her baby’s health. So the mom-to-be should practice light yoga and should drink lot of juices and clear soups to cleanse her body.

One should not miss on any of the regular doctor’s visits and checkups.  It pays well to be informed during pregnancy. Stay away from devices that give out harmful radiations, avoid speaking on the cell phone for long hours as the harmful radiations may impact the baby. It is good idea to take brisk walk or walk around in your house after dinner to help digestion. Do not over eat. Your baby will only absorb little of the nutrients. Avoid going to crowded places as there are chances that you may feel dizzy
